Taste of Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival 2021

Fans of Epcot Festivals, rejoice! Taste of Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival returns to Disney World in 2021. This festival mixes the beauty of horticulture with Disney character inspired topiaries and specialty foods. Let’s take a quick tour of the 2021 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival taking place March 3, 2021 through July 5, 2021.

Beautiful Blooms All Over Epcot

Fans of Epcot Festivals, rejoice! Taste of Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival returns to Disney World in 2021

Draped in colorful flowering plants during Epcot Flower and Garden Festival, the entire park is beautiful. It seems no matter where you look there are stunning arrays of flowers to admire.

Along the shores of Showcase Plaza is an endless blanket of vibrant color which frames Spaceship Earth beautifully. Perfectly planted flowers form shapes within these vast gardens.

The beautiful gardens aren’t limited to Showcase Plaza. Over a dozen stunning specialty gardens in Future World and World Showcase are cultivated for the 2021 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival.

Amazing Epcot Flower and Garden Disney Character Topiaries

The Disney Horticulture team designs and grows magnificent topiaries for the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival each year. Disney character topiaries catch your eye and these stunning displays often stop us in our tracks.

Each year there are new designs to admire and classics to enjoy. Lovingly grown topiaries with creative details are surrounded by impressively landscaped areas. Some of our favorites include Three Caballeros, Kermit the Frog, Snow White, and Figment.

Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival usually has about two-dozen special topiaries, and most are inspired by Disney characters. Have fun finding your favorites!

The Goodness Garden Butterfly House

Goodness Garden Butterfly House is a family favorite activity returning to the 2021 Taste of Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival. A mesh tent encloses a special garden full of butterfly friendly plants.

Inside the enclosure, butterflies flit all around landing on plants and sometimes guests. Several different species of butterflies make Goodness Garden Butterfly House their home, but the Monarchs are usually the most eye-catching.

Inside the garden tent are two wooden stations holding butterfly chrysalis. Many butterflies emerge each day, and sometimes guests are lucky to catch one breaking out of its shell.

The Goodness Garden Butterfly House has signage throughout encouraging people to plant their own butterfly friendly plants at home. Epcot guests are also educated about the importance of butterflies in conservation efforts in the Goodness Garden Butterfly House.

Tasty Outdoor Kitchen Options

Trying new foods is one of the best things about the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival. When visiting the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival we often opt to eat and drink at several outdoor kitchens instead of one traditional meal.

Disney has released the exact menus for the 2021 Taste of Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival, and several of our favorites are back this year.

Pro tip: Want to stay on budget while eating at Outdoor Kitchens? Grab a bracelet gift card at the gift shop and load it with the amount you want to spend. This trick has certainly saved me from overspending at Epcot Flower and Garden Festival.

My Favorite Taste of Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival Foods

Epcot Flower and Garden Festival Activities range from outdoor kitchens to beautiful gardens and even a butterfly house. Find out our favorite things to do at Epcot Flower and Garden Festival. #epcot #disneyworld

La Isla Fresca, located between Morocco and France, is our favorite booth from previous years. The Sugar Cane Shrimp Skewer with Steamed Rice and Coconut-lime Sauce is so good I eat it any time I get a chance. Although I’m normally not a fan of coconut, the subtle flavor is a nice addition to the five grilled shrimp and rice.

Spicy Blackened Shrimp and Cheddar Cheese Grits with Brown Gravy and Sweet Corn Salsa from EPCOT Sunshine Griddle is the absolute best thing we ate on our adult only runDisney trip. This was a rare treat for me, since Elizabeth is allergic to corn and I avoid eating it around her.

Looking for something sweet instead of savory? Fleur de Lys in France has a Macaron au Chocolate en Sucette. This large macaron on a stick is a delicious rich, chocolate treat.

My Favorite Epcot Flower and Garden Festival Drinks

My favorite drink at Epcot Flower and Garden Festival is a new addition for 2021. Hibiscus Lemonade Cocktail featuring Islamorada Brewery & Distillery Hibiscus Gin is a delicious, refreshing, and pretty option. Find this hidden gem tucked into World ShowPlace Event Pavilion near Canada.

Another refreshing drink at Epcot Flower and Garden Festival is Frozen Lemonade with Firefly Blackberry Moonshine. The spiked frozen lemonade is perfection on a warm day. Find it at Festival Favorites in World Showplace.

La Vie en Rose Frozen Slushy is another popular Epcot Flower and Garden Festival drink, and in my opinion pretty darn delicious. This alcoholic slush at Fleur de Lys in the France Pavilion is made with Grey Goose Vodka, L’Orange, St. Germain Liqueur, White and Red Cranberry juice.

If beer is more your speed there are plenty to choose from at Epcot Flower and Garden Festival booths. For example, at Pineapple Promenade in Showcase Plaza we tried Playalinda Brewing Company Violet Lemonade Ale. The Playalinda Violet Lemonade Ale had a good flavor, but I think I would have been better off trying the famous non-alcoholic Frozen Dessert Violet Lemonade instead.

Epcot Flower and Garden Festival 2021 Live Entertainment

Several live performances are part of the 2021 Taste of Epcot Flower and Garden Festival. Jammin’ Gardeners grace the Canada Mill Stage bringing buckets and garbage cans to make music instead of traditional instruments. Their energetic style is entertaining for all ages.

America Gardens Theater has both Voices of Liberty and Mariachi Cobre alternating performances. Both groups are extremely talented and the theater is a comfortable outdoor area to relax during a day at Epcot Flower and Garden Festival. We were also able to enjoy both Voices of Liberty and Mariachi Cobre while dining outside at Regal Eagle Smokehouse.

World Showcase has added a pianist as well for the 2021 Taste of Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival.

Spike’s Pollen Nation Exploration

This scavenger hunt tracks Spike all around Epcot and is a great way to keep kids entertained during Taste of Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival 2021.

Buy a special map for $7.99 plus tax and use it to find Spike’s hiding spots around Epcot. Once you find him, use the corresponding sticker to mark your map. At the end of the scavenger hunt show your completed map at select locations to receive a prize.

Spike’s Pollen Nation Exploration is similar to Figment’s Brush With the Masters during Epcot Festival of the Arts or Remy’s Hide and Squeak during Epcot Food and Wine Festival.

Epcot Flower And Garden Festival 2021 Egg-stravaganza Scavenger Hunt

Do you prefer looking for Disney character eggs instead of Spike? Egg-stravaganza Scavenger Hunt starts March 19th and goes until supplies run out.

Buy the special map for $7.99 plus tax and hunt for hidden eggs around Epcot. Once you’ve found all the eggs turn in your map to receive a special Egg-stravaganza Scavenger Hunt prize.

Final Thoughts on Epcot Flower And Garden Festival 2021

Taste of Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival activities are always the perfect antidote to a seemingly endless Chicago winter. Vibrant flowers, carefully grown topiaries, a butterfly house, and outdoor kitchens make the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival a great part of our springtime and early summer visits to Disney World.
